Description
The Ijaazah Course is a specialized program for advanced students who wish to obtain formal certification (Sanad) in Qur’an recitation and memorization. This course focuses on flawless recitation, adherence to the highest standards of Tajweed, and a deep commitment to the preservation of Qur’anic transmission. Students are guided by certified teachers who hold their own Ijaazah, ensuring the integrity and authenticity of the chain of narration. This course is ideal for those who aim to become authorized transmitters and educators of the Qur’an.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, students will:
Recite the entire Qur’an with flawless accuracy and full application of Tajweed
Be eligible to receive a Sanad with a verified chain back to the Prophet ﷺ
Demonstrate mastery of articulation points (Makharij) and characteristics of Arabic letters
Show awareness and correct usage of the Uthmani script
Memorize the entire Qur’an (required for Ijaazah in memorization track)

Requirements
Enrollment in this course requires:
Complete mastery of theoretical and practical Tajweed
Zero errors in Makharij and letter articulation
Familiarity with the Uthmani script
Full memorization of the Qur’an (for memorization-based Ijaazah)
Dedication, discipline, and a readiness for advanced-level testing and refinement
Course Duration
The course typically requires an average of 50 to 60 hours, depending on the student's level of fluency, accuracy, and readiness. Additional hours may be required for review and refinement based on the teacher’s evaluation.
Assessment & Certification
Upon completing the full Khatma with strict adherence to Tajweed, the student will take a final test with their Sheikh. If the recitation meets the required standard, the student will be granted an official Sanad certified by the institution and stamped with its official seal. This Sanad includes a documented chain of transmission (Isnad) linking the student directly to the Prophet ﷺ.
